I’ve purchased four Mendota leashes in the past six months, and all have been solid and very comfortable to use. When I inadvertently left the first leash (a six foot snap leash) where my little pit mix could get to it, he ate it, so they’re not indestructible. But I liked that leash so much that I quickly replaced it with another Mendota. Now I keep my leashes in a drawer. Lesson learned.
Mendota pet gave me a great price on some leashes that I’m donating to a veterans organization. Everything turned out perfect.
The only challenge was my sales rep Steve I think is he is new to the company and it took them a while to put my order in
He got everything right though, and the order was perfect
This is my second Mendota leash. I love the thick rope, leather trim, and sturdy clip. However, I will say that compared to the leash I bought 3 years ago, the rope is a little thinner, the clip a little less substantial, and the handle loop just slightly bigger (so it slides off my wrist too easily). Small complaints but a little annoying that I like the old one better.
It is not easy to find sturdy 4-foot leashes! I am pleased with the product and color choices. I used to get a similar, yet even thicker leash at a national pet store, but their quality declined and it became harder to find much in a 4-foot length. As my son and daughter-in-law recently relocated to the St.Paul area, I was delighted to support a company based in their new location, too!
