Directions for Using the DERMagic Skin Care System
The DERMagic Skin Care System is a 4-step process to relieve itching, eliminate yeast conditions, and regrow fur. This protocol should be used for treating the following conditions in dogs, cats (use the feline version) and even horses:
- Alopecia X
- Acute Moist Dermatitis (Hot Spots)
- Atopic Dermatitis
- Black Skin Disease
- Cuts and sores
- Fur or hair loss
- Mange
- Severe dog itching
- Seborrhea
- Secondary skin conditions resulting from flea allergies, mite allergies or trauma
- Skin allergies

Step One: Clean Skin
Product: Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo or any of our solid Shampoo Bars
Frequency: 1-2x per month.
Use for: General cleaning, conditioning skin and fur, initial treatment prior to lotion.
- Carefully trim the hair around the affected area(s) with clippers or scissors. Keep fur between 1/4" to 1/2" long.
- Give your dog a relaxing bath with our sulfate-free shampoo.

Diatomaceous Earth - This special formula combines our award-winning shampoo bars with food-grade diatomaceous earth.
All of our solid shampoo bars are excellent for regular use. Both our liquid shampoos and solid shampoo bars are pH-balanced for dogs, especially formulated to soothe dog itching and condition the skin. These products also help eliminate odor and stimulate the healing process.

Step Two: Condition Coat
Product: Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil Conditioner or Solid Conditioner Bars
Frequency: After shampooing pets, use conditioner then rinse (learn how to use the solid conditioner bar here)
Use for: Protecting fur against dirt and grime, conditioning skin and fur, initial treatment prior to applying lotion. Choose from any of the following conditioners:
- Sensitive Skin Rosemary
- Rosemary Mint
- Lemongrass-Spearmint
- Rosemary Mint
- Lemongrass-Spearmint
Step Three: Treat Yeast
Product: Skin Rescue Lotion
Uses: For resolving general itchiness, hot spots, seborrhea, and even severe cases of black skin disease and Alopecia X or significant hair loss.
Frequency: Massage our soothing Skin Rescue Lotion into the affected areas twice daily for an initial 1-week period. After the first week, use once per day until healthy, pink skin begins to appear.
- Tips: Keep area covered with an old t-shirt or "onesie" to help keep lotion on. Slip an old t-shirt or baby "onesie" on your pet to keep lotion on skin.
Product: Hot Spot Salve
Uses: Hot Spot Salve is ideal for treating hot spots, minor wounds, insect bites, localized allergic reactions and itchy or inflamed spots in hard-to-reach areas. Hot Spot Salve offers more "sticking" power and even helps repel water. Ideal for dogs who are suffering from hot spots on bellies, legs or paws.
Keep DERMagic Hot Spot Salve handy for those small bites or cuts to prevent infection.
Frequency: After disease is under control, use Hot Spot Salve to treat stubborn or difficult-to-heal sores or spots. Dab a small amount of DERMagic Salve topically once or twice per day until symptoms disappear.
- Tips: Our Hot Spot Salve is a concentrated form of the Skin Rescue Lotion. The Hot Spot Salve is ideal for treating areas that prove to be more challenging. Both products can be used together.
Step Four: Support Healthy Skin and Coat
Product: Cell Restoration Crème
Frequency: Once your pet's skin is pink and healthy, you can begin using our Cell Restoration Creme to reduce healing time. Massage our ultra-conditioning Cell Restoration Crème into healthy, pink skin once per day.
Uses: This step speeds cell regeneration. boosts cellular immunity to prevent reinfection, and combats dry, flaky skin. This step also encourages the growth of a healthy coat.
- Tips: Also works great for cracked pads or chapped noses in winter, and for conditioning dry paw pads in summer.
