North graduated to his big boy collar! Mendota is my go-to for their high quality, handsome rolled leather collars that lasts throughout my dogs' active lifestyle. It's the only collar my previous dogs wore for their entire adult lives (one for 16 years!), and expect North will enjoy this one for many, many years to come. These collars are a great investment.

Awesome collar. Arrived very quickly and it was easy to measure to determine which size to get for my dog. Looks absolutely show stopping on her!!

I love this collar! My parents always had a rolled leather collar on my dogs growing up, using it for every dog we had. This piece is great quality, and I look forward to using in for generations of my fur kids. Full grain leather, sturdy stitching, and heavy duty brass buckle.

It ended up being a little more thicker and big for my dog. ( not in length)

I love these rolled leather dog collars. I’m on my 3rd. The first rests with my beloved Dobie that passed over the rainbow bridge. I trashed the 2nd collar after it got skunked. The 3d collar replaced the last one. These collars with their precision construction and sophistication add the finishing touch to my classic Dobermans.

I am assuming by this email that you people dont read emails sent to you by your customers. The following is the email i sent you.

I want to provide you with some feedback regarding your product. As much as it is a well made collar, it is in no way shape or form a 3/4" diameter. This collar you sent me is barely over a 3/8" in diameter. Furthermore, there are about 3 US based companies I order DVD sets from. Several so far this year . Most are double DVD sets and therefore a bit thicker than your single DVD package. What am I getting at? A double DVD case would easily hold the dog collar you sent me, and yet those DVD companies simply placed their package into a delivery envelope and placed it in snail mail. You sent this tiny package through a courier costing me in excess of $36 USD. That's ludicrous. I order often from the US as I prefer American made products as opposed to chinese made products as mostly sold here in Canada. Last summer I ordered a 4 pack of copper citronella torches with poles from the US. That delivery was just a bit more than what you charged me for a dog collar. I will not be ordering anything from Mendota Pet ever again. I will also let friends and family both here and in the US know about this transaction, including in placing a comment on my Facebook page. This was ludicrous. Good day

Our fourth collar for our fourth dog! Love the style and durability of the rolled leather collars. (NOTE: when measuring the dogs neck the lengh noted is end to end, so if you need a collar to fit a 16" neck, you will need to order a longer one - at least 2" or more to account for the buckle overlap and the distance from tip to the hole.)

Love the collar! Looks perfect on my 6 month old collie puppy! And being he will have a lot of long hair it will work!

Already had a rolled collar...my baby needed a smaller one. Great quality product. We'll made!

The quality of the collar looked great and the hardware. I have a chihuahua mix that has a very petite neck and this collar was HUGE on her. It was also very stiff. I think a dog with a much larger neck would do well with it buy my pup swam in it. My problem is that I have had to continually buy cat collars which are not strong enough for walking on a leash. They wear out very quickly but so far that is the only thing that is small enough for my pup. Even the ones that say they are leather. I’ll keep searching. Wish I could get someone to make her a custom made one.

I gave it only 3 stars only because it was too big and too stiff for my little pup. I sent it back and trust that I will get a refund.

There are a lot of places that advertise as having small collars or extra small but they seem to still be too big for my little pup.

Good quality and good service. Would like to see it available in black as well as my French Brittany is blank and white.

first thing I will say about Mendota Pet is how great they are and willing to make things right. I ordered one collar to make sure I liked the quality, but i did'nt pay attention to the sizing instructions and I had ordered wrong size collar, they took it back no problem. then, after seeing the level of quality of their products I ordered three for my miniature Dachshunds. very happy with my purchase!

This is a really nice collar - thick, well finished, solid hardware, and I love the ring that sits up on top that makes hooking the pup up to a lead so much easier.

I'd go up one size from what the measuring process suggests - we came up with a 14" following the process, and while it works, the collar is on the last hole - I'd prefer a longer tab coming out of the buckle.

This is the second of these I have bought for this dog. After 5 years, the first one was still in excellent condition, just outgrown. They are well made, sturdy collars.
Worth the money. Love that they are made in U.S.A..
